We have served as CIO to a health-benefit trust since 1998 and built the system that determines eligibility for medical, dental, and pharmacy benefits. Rebuilt as technology advanced and now in AWS, it has never stopped serving members.
After a larger provider left its systems misconfigured, a public company made us its fractional CIO to rebuild them security first. Systems that had never worked together now do, under formal IT controls built for public-company and partner requirements.
The company has no IT staff of its own, so we serve as its CIO and moved its data center to AWS and Microsoft 365, secured with Okta and CrowdStrike. Its several hundred employees now work securely from any location, with fewer support requests.
Hired for onsite support in New York, within about a year we were leading all technology for its New York and London offices, run on Microsoft Azure and SharePoint. Users now see more reliable computers and faster fixes, and we help plan every project.
A health services company outgrew its spreadsheets, so we built the SQL Server database, web applications, and mobile app that run its operations. The system has scaled to schedule as many as 4,000 nurses and has been in daily use since 2011.
Working with a design agency, we built the firm's public website from the agency's designs. We delivered on time and for the agreed price, and the site has needed minimal maintenance since launch.
