Common questions

Questions about
software work.

Do you build software from scratch, or work with what we already have?

Both. Some engagements start with a blank page. Many more begin with systems that already exist and need to be extended, connected, modernized or made reliable enough to build on.

Can you take over an application somebody else built?

Yes. Application rescue and takeover is a regular part of the practice. We start by reading the code and the data model, establish what is safe to change, document what was never written down, and agree a practical path forward before making changes.

What happens after the software is delivered?

We support and maintain what we build. Ongoing application support is part of the practice rather than a separate contract, so the people who wrote the software are the people who keep it running.

What technologies do you build in?

Commonly PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL for data; React and TypeScript for web applications; Python, C# and Rust on the server; and AWS or Azure underneath. We choose the stack from the requirement rather than from a house preference.

How do you approach AI inside a business application?

Deliberately. We look at whether the problem genuinely calls for AI, what the data exposure is, and how the result will be verified before anything reaches production. Practical guidance on that decision is part of our AI advisory work.
